All for Art: Wallace Arts Trust at Gibbs Farm
April 27 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Join the Wallace Arts Trust for a day of breath-taking sculpture and sensational entertainment at the famous Gibbs Farm Sculpture Park.
Situated on the shores of the Kaipara Harbour, Gibbs Farm is home to an ever-increasing collection of some of the most spectacular sculptures by artists such as Anish Kapoor, Andy Goldsworthy, Len Lye and Richard Serra.
Wander the beautiful grounds and learn more about your favourite works (there will be guides along the way), encounter musical performances (these will be popping up throughout the day) and spot the different exotic animals that call the park home (you could even feed a giraffe).
This rare opportunity to visit the astounding 400ha sculpture park is an important event for the Wallace Arts Trust’s 2017 fundraising campaign, to restore and preserve another important building in Monte Cecilia Park – the Whare.
The Whare, a historic school house, was brought onto the grounds in the early 1900s and has been used as an education space ever since. The Arts Trust is working with Auckland Council to ensure this building is returned to its former glory and it is utilised as a learning facility for all the community to enjoy.
Tickets are now available from Eventbrite.
Add on a Packed Lunch for $20, devised by the team at Homestead Eatery, to enjoy on the day.
There is also bus transportation for $30 per person that can be included in your ticket.
Please note that Gibbs Farm is a private property, open by prior appointment only on scheduled monthly visitor days. No entry fee is applicable when visiting Gibbs Farm by appointment; the Trustees of Gibbs Farm have generously allowed us to arrange this event as an important fundraiser to support The Wallace Arts Trust.
