Jump into a celebration of creativity and diversity at Pah Homestead. A team of young people jump through a series of discoveries and moving installations as they reframe art, architecture and the spectacular historic grounds of Pah Homestead using music, dance and story.
Mixit is excited to announce it’s 13th annual summer show ‘Jump Cut’ held this year at the spectacular historic Pah Homestead. A team of twenty young people will be charged with the creative task of exploring and reframing how they see the site. Audiences can anticipate a dynamic roaming experience following the threads of stories and characters, becoming part of the event as it weaves together. Mixit shows are colourful, vibrant and guaranteed to leave you feeling uplifted. Suitable for all ages.
Mixit run free year-long workshops which see skilled creatives from the industry facilitating courses in the arts. Additionally Mixit holds an annual summer performance project. This is the culmination of an intensive collaborative process devised from scratch over eleven days in which the cast (aged 14-25 years) and an interdisciplinary team of guest artists craft a unique show around a specific theme.
Feedback from ‘Fresh Eyes’ production 2018:
“So much beautiful light in these young people – it shines and gifts something very special to the audience.”
“It was organized AND spontaneous and I loved that.”
